MS Dhoni: Doctorate from De Montfort University

MS Dhoni is to get a doctorate for his achievements from De Montfort university on 29 August, 2011. Indian team achieved a huge success under his captaincy like the 2011 cricket world cup, 2007 ICC 20-20 world cup, 2008 commonwealth bank series and many more.
Professor Dominic Shellard, the Vice chancellor of De Montfort University said that: “De Montfort University is honored to join with our key partner, Leicestershire County Cricket Club, in recognizing Mahendra Dhoni’s significant sporting achievements, in the presence of many of our staff and students. This occasion is a distinctive example of DMU’s drive to develop high quality cultural and international partnerships and I am delighted to be able to share it with Leicestershire’s cricket fans.”
Also Dhoni said: “I am amazed and honored to receive this award. I see this award as an honor for not only me as the captain of the Indian cricket team but for something for the whole team to be proud of.”
